Vaccine Recovery

It’s interesting to observe side effects from the Covid-19 vaccine, experienced among our patients and the wider population. Typical symptoms range from headaches, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and a swelling of the lymph nodes. Patients have also shared their experiences of depression and anxiety, and pain elsewhere within their system. Pain, inflammation and lymphatic health are easily improved with the use of Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT), more commonly known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). This article looks at why Low Level Laser Therapy is effective to manage the side effects of Covid-19 vaccinations and a good option for post vaccine recovery.

Pharmaceutical companies responsible for producing Covid-19 vaccines have all reported common side effects associated with the vaccine. In certain cases, general health related side-effects have been as high as 70%, the most common including fatigue or tiredness, headaches and muscle pain. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pains and diarrhoea have also been reported. There is a also a high percentage of people (around 90%) who have received the vaccine and experienced localised pain, swelling, itching and inflammation at the site where the injection has been administered, and in some cases a heavy arm on the same side as the injection, often referred to as “Covid arm”.

Vaccine recovery may involve a session or two of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) to increase healing and restore energy levels. This is because Photobiomodulation is used extensively to manage and ease pain, reduce inflammation and increase the efficiency of the lymphatic system – all factors involved in Covid-19 vaccination. Furthermore, Laser Therapy improves the production of endorphins and serotonin, which aid recovery from depression and anxiety. As a result Low Level Laser is becoming the go-to choice for many conditions that arise from a compromised immune system, or that are related to inflammation and pain.

We’ve set up a special Vaccine Recovery Low Level Laser Therapy treatment programme for post Covid-19 vaccination patients. The course of 3 treatments aims to:

  • Restore patients quickly back to normal health.
  • Accelerate healing of the arm, including pain and redness.
  • Reduce pain and stiffness throughout the body.
  • Improve energy levels.
  • Reduce headaches.
  • Promote an overall feeling of well-being.

Treatments are available at Harley Street and Acton locations.
