Low Level Laser Therapy has been shown to penetrate the skull to directly aid damaged neurological tissue. The brain may suffer from three types of disorder: 1. Stroke, traumatic brain injury and global ischemia. 2. Degenerative disease such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, and 3. Psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. There is evidence that all these conditions can be beneficially affected by applying light to the head. We have seen good results when working with Low Level Laser Therapy for Parkinson’s disease.
By applying Low Level Laser through the lymphatic system, the central nervous system and to the scalp over a course of treatments, patients have reported significant improvements in their cognitive function, balance, gait and difficulties of speech. Low Level Laser Therapy for Parkinson’s is supported with recommendations for diet, in particular the daily consumption of green salad, which contains enzymes supportive for neurological health.
